The Office of the Public Trustee acts as an impartial and trusted body in managing the legal affairs of Deceased, Missing and Insane Persons, ensuring their assets are distributed according to law or Will.

The Office of Public Trustee is not like a conventional government office/agency, but is a corporation established by the Public Curator  Act Chapter 81 (Principal Act) and Public Curator (Amendment Act 2020). It has perppetual succession and can hold, acquire and dispose properties and assets and can sue and be sued on its own corporate name and style.

We assist families, individuals, and the courts by protecting the interests of the vulnerable, especially where no next of kin is available or legal guidance is needed.
